Essential for anyone working with kids

This book has vital information for anyone who works with kids aged 5-12. Covering topics ranging from how children develop cognitively, socially, emotionally, physically, and morally to behavior management tools it is a must read for people new to the field as well as those who are very experienced. It is also helpful for parents - to know how their children are developing and what they can do to help. I plan to use it as an inservice training tool with School-Age Care Workers employed at the youth center where I work by teaching one chapter or section at each weekly staff meeting.

Teacher's best...

I'm a teacher in a Quebec's college and I use this book to be sure that my students will understant what the school age care is about. I use also the french version. Les services de garde en milieu scolaire.
