Scary Taxi: THE FARE: A Horror Novel

By M.K. Harrow

It appears at 3:00 AM on roads that don't exist.

A rusted 1978 Checker Marathon taxi. One sickly yellow headlight cutting through the fog. The meter doesn't show a fare-it shows a countdown.

60:00.

The door unlocks. You get in. You don't know why.

Through the windshield, you see your own death. Not a possibility. Not a warning. The death. The one waiting at the end of this hour.

You have sixty minutes to scream, bargain, and beg. The driver will not answer. His hands are locked at ten and two. His eyes have watched fifty thousand souls die. He has not spoken in three hundred years.

He will not save you.

He cannot.

But tonight, a small girl in a blue coat climbs into the back seat. She looks at the driver and whispers one word:

"Daddy."

For the first time in centuries, something inside the driver stirs. His hand moves toward the door lock.

SCARY TAXI: THE FARE is a haunting novel of cosmic horror, psychological dread, and a father's unbearable guilt.

For fans of Stephen King, Paul Tremblay, and the haunting quiet of a foggy road with no end.

The taxi drives on. It always does.
