Moving to the United States of America from Cameroon, West Africa at the age of 17 as an international student, the author faces her own share of struggles while in school but amidst all the struggles, she earns a Bachelor of Nursing in Science from Queens University of Charlotte. Hoping that life would take her further afield post graduation, instead life takes her on a journey she was never prepared for. Scars to Stars narrates the Author's moments of mental, physical and emotional abuse and the choice to stay in an unhealthy relationship until it became a matter of life and death. The narrative takes us on the author's journey of healing and how she turned her scars to stars.
