When a bowl is broken in japan it's put back together with the cracks being filled with gold, creating a beautiful lining, this is to emphasize the beauty in what was once broken. They believe that when something has suffered damage and has a history it makes it more beautiful and the same goes for a human being. The book Scar follows the story of a man who focused on building his enterprise after series of heart break whilst growing up. He later finds true love but loses his wife while they returned after their honeymoon. This loss breaks him down and affects everything about him. At the end of every dark tunnel though there is light; we follow him as he finds redemption, as he finds himself once again.
