Scandal at Parkmount High

Susana and her longtime friend, Nanette, looked forward to their senior year at Parkmount High. They thought life would have the same familiar situations as their junior year. Susana kept two mares at a stable where Juan Pablo, a stable hand with little formal education but considerable wisdom, would usually offer friendly conversation. Shortly after their senior year began, Nanette's family moved from their single-family house to a prestigious condominium complex. There Nanette met Moura; a seemingly cultured and worldly girl. One day Susana invited Nanette and Moura to the stables to meet her horses. After Nanette and Moura left Juan Pablo approached Susana, but without his customary cheer. He warned Susana that Moura was "muy mala " and to stay away from her. Neither Susana nor Nanette could foretell the disaster that lay in wait for one of them.
