This collection of expressions will teach you more English/Spanish in an entertaining way.

Every language has colorful expressions to communicate ideas. We have included many sayings that are virtually identical in both English and Spanish, such as, "don't look a gift horse in the mouth."

Many phrases mean the same idea, but are expressed differently. For example, in English we say "fresh as a daisy," but in Spanish it is "fresh as a lettuce."

We present Spanish as spoken in Mexico, but we but we also have some examples of European Spanish.

These figures of speech are illustrated with cartoons. The text that accompanies each drawing may include information about the saying's origin or other similar expressions.
