Saying "NO" to the Invitation is a book that will capture your attention from the introduction. Many times in life, people uninvitedly come into your space without an invitation. I am writing this book to tell my story of how I overcame sexual abuse of many forms; hopefully, it will help you see yourself through the mirror of my testimony. This book details how rape, molestation, a touch, or a word can surreptitiously plant a seed that can change the course of your behavior, disrupting your life forever. However, we often close our eyes to rape when it's a family member or friend of the family. This book examines behaviors that stem from abuse. We need to bring attention to this issue everywhere. It takes the victims voice' and leaves you feeling violated, empty and saturated with shame. It's time WE take our voice back by "saying no to the invitation".
