Everyone should read it!

My story is one of the many stories published in this book. When I heard about the opportunity to have my story published in Martha's book I was excited and I knew exactly what I wanted to write about. Greg was a role model for everyone in our school, and when I found out he had been diagnosed with lukemia I was heartbroken. I know I am not the only teenager who has been through something like this. To be able to share my experience with others is great. I hope you all enjoy the book as much as I have. Oh, my story is on page 20!

Sensitive resource for teens in grief

As a high school teacher who loves teens, I well know of the many issues of loss with which they deal during years that are already issue-filled. SAYING GOODBYE is a book they'll find full of help and hope. I recommend it highly to teachers, parents and friends who want to help a teen dealing with loss.

Finally!

Finally! A book for children and teens written by children and teens who know how it feels-because they have been there! For twenty years I counseled with many in this age group who had experienced loss. The author is to be commmended for sensitively covering loss in a language that even young children easily grasp. Thank you Martha, for giving us a recovery tool, written from a Christian prospective, to put in the hands of parents children who are wandering in the widerness of grief.

Great Validation for Bereaved Teens

Martha Bolton has reached into a very difficult subject--grief and loss. We all find loss difficult, but especially teens. As the president of an organization that deals specifically with adoption loss and grief, I am putting Martha's book on my list of recommendations.Martha provides a springboard for teens to read about others who have experienced similar losses and thus brings validation. And with validation comes healing. It is also a valuable tool for parents who are having difficulty getting their teens to talk about the loss and process it.
