"Saying good-bye to dreams" is an amusing, nostalgic, bitterly- sweet story of (un) fulfilled dreams and goals set in youth, narrated through the fates of a group of people which, meet again at one party, after almost half a century of the separation. The main theme of the novel is the moral and emotional integrity of characters in conflict with the unscrupulous material world and the false values after wars in the former land.They spent their youth years in the former Yugoslavia, but they are not Yugonostalgic. They have been living in Serbia now. But are they happier after the breakup of ex the country?
