Terrific thriller

When Canadian Vanessa Marstan married Colin Craigmore, heir to a powerful Scottish estate, she thought she had it all. When their son Roddy was born. she felt that she could never ever be happier. However, her idyll life turns into a nightmare when Colin's behavior starts turning viciously erratic and he spends more time in a drunken stupor than sober. Though she knows her marriage is over, Vanessa does not flee until she fears for Roddy's life. Taking her beloved child, Vanessa runs back to Canada to keep the lad safe from Colin and away from his tyrannical grandfather, who wants the heir apparent back home with him. As she and her seven year old son are pursued across Canada, a bystander, Grant Kendell, comes to their rescue. Feeling she might have found her knight in shining armor, a disbelieving Vanessa runs from her savior because deep in her gut she feels he must be a serpent too. SAY GOODBYE TO DADDY is intrigue at its most action-packed best. The crisp story line brilliantly moves forward so that even the piper would pay to finish this in one sitting. The characters are all wonderful and the deterioration of Colin and his family is superbly drawn, drawing fans with it.
