Great sci-fi storyline

What completely fasinates me with Showalter is how her different series are so completely DIFFERENT. I can usually recognize the writing of authors simply by reading a book, just like some people can recognize a bass player by listening to different music. Yet, the storyline and character traits that are found in this Alien Huntress series is completely different than what you would find in her Atlantis series, or Playing with Fire, or even the first book I read by her--The Pleasure Slave. Some of her books are so light and fun (Heart of the Dragon) and some are tense and sexy (Lords of the Underworld). All seem to have a at least a small sense of humor to it--which I like. Savor Me Slowly was wonderfully done. I didn't remember alot about the previous two novels, but this one can easily be a stand alone novel. Previous characters are back. Mia is really annoying. I thought Showalter did a good job of reminding those of us who haven't read the previous two novels in quite some time about what the world is like and whom the threat to earth is. I liked the fact that even though Mishka and Jaxon were misunderstood, they still were not perfect and even a bit bloodthirsty. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series and I'm hoping this one will finally be about sexy Dallas.

Mishka Le'Ace is more and less than she seems. Gena Showalter did an amazing job of building a world so enthralling that it will completely capture your imagination and will have you glued to your seat turning the pages. Jaxon, at first glance, seems like a cold and calculating Alpha male; however, as we get to know him better, Jaxon reveals himself to be a fiery lover and an unflinchingly loyal man. Mishka will capture your heart with her battle to be more than she was created to be and become a woman worthy of love - all the while fighting the man who controls her and the negative expectations of the people around her. Mishka and Jaxon make the perfect pair in this action-packed romance each with their vulnerabilities to overcome while keeping the pace of the action and delivering an ending that will leave your romantic heart well satisfied! Get yourself Savor Me Slowly - it's a wonderful book, perfect for escaping reality as it creates a world so far removed from our own that you will be engrossed in the book from start to finish! Absolutely wonderful!

I absolutely love Gena Showalter. She is one of my favorite paranormal romance writers and there hasn't been a book yet that I have encountered and been disappointed. I enjoyed reading every page of Savor Me Slowly. Talk about Hot!Hot!Hot! The heat between Le' Ace and Jaxon had me longing for some heat of my own. I definitely recommend this installment of Alien Huntress and no doubt a Five Star rating all the way.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has romance, action, emotions and wonderful characters. When I started reading Savor Me Slowly I did not want to put it down, but I had to because I had to go to work. Thank you Ms. Showalter for writing this book.

Top Notch Sci-fi Romance (A Grade)

Gena Showalter has written a top notch novel with alien hunters, incredible action and really hot sex scenes that are smoldering. I was blown away by this third book in her Alien Huntress series and I recommend Savor Me Slowly to any fan of Showalter. Jaxon Tremaine has himself in quite a bind. He has been taken and tortured by some alien enemies. They want answers only he can provide. He doesn't give in but when a new alien torturer comes, he is speechless. Mishka is unlike any alien or woman he has ever met. Mishka is also on a mission, and that is to save Jaxon. But she doesn't do her part willingly. She is basically a slave and belongs to an evil man who can kill her without a second thought. She was made in a labatory and has more strength and power than any human, male or female has. Mishka is able to save Jaxon and hides him, but when Jaxon finally heals, he wants answers. Mishka is confused because she has never dealt with a man such as Jaxon. He makes her feel things she has never felt for in a man. All too soon both Jaxon and Mishka act on their attraction, but what Jaxon doesn't know is that Mishka could end up being killed by the touch of a button. Only one word comes to mind when reading a book by Gena Showalter and that is "WOW". I was lost in this world and most importantly the scorching hot love affair between Jason and his incredible love for Mishka. Showalter has written an incredible character in that of Mishka. She is so scarred and emotional cold because of her horrible past and is afraid of being touched and needing love because of the consequences. Jason is a true alpha hero who has a tender side but is very much protective of this intriguing woman. Savor Me Slowly is a near to perfect book as your can get.
