The resurrection was the major theme of the early church's teachings. The believers then lived with eternity in view. They understood that human life on earth is but a pilgrimage. Today we are and tomorrow we are gone. The Anchor of our hope of resurrection is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Jesus, after His death on the Cross, laid in the grave for three days (Matthew 12:40). Then God raised His Son from the dead! (Matthew 28) Apostle Paul put it like this: "... and who through the Spirit of Holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 1:4) The resurrection of Christ is enough proof that we also shall be raised up at His coming as noted in 1 Thessalonians 4:12-18. This shall be because God is faithful and true to His Word (Isaiah 55:10-13). That which He says He fulfills (Numbers 23:19)
