My husband has suffered from low back pain for a number of months. At first, he was reluctant to see a doctor because he thought he might need back surgery. After reading Save Your Aching Back, we learned surgery is seldom needed. What a relief! Also, the book helped us both to understand what was going on during the office visit. Since starting physical therapy, he is feeling much better and is able to play golf again. Thank you.
Thank you! Finally a back book for non-medical people!

Recently, I was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis. I felt as though my doctor was speaking Greek to me when he tried to explain my condition. It was then I decided to educate myself on this abnormality and the general 'make up' of the back.I purchased a copy of Save Your Aching Back, A Patient's Guide written by Dr. Eidelson. Finally I found a book written especially for people without a medical background. It helped me (and my wife) to understand the complexity and illnesses that typically affect the back.I highly recommend that anyone interested in gaining knowledge of this part of the anatomy to take time to read this book. Who knows, doing so may help avoid future back ailments. I am certain that I could have avoided my situation if I had the knowledge gained by reading this book earlier in my life.
