This is a must read!

"Savage Trust" was a book that held my interest and I wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen next. The action kept building up to a dramatic climax, but you have to read the book to find out what this is. Cloud Walker, of the Lakota tribe, is the main character in the story. He is the chief of the tribe and the way that Ms. Edwards described him is wonderful. His caring and kindness and good mannerisms are unique. This book has some special background characters that shine out. There are scenes in this book that are sad, but right prevails over wrong in the end. The way that Cloud Walker and his woman speak to each other when they are alone are words that you can feel and the love they have for each other grows stronger each day. There is a villain who causes all kinds of trouble for the Lakota people and this is where the drama really gets heated up. The community life of the tribe's people was very enjoyable reading. This is a book that once you start reading it you wont want to put it down as it keeps your attention. I rate this book a 5, and it is one that I want to keep to read over again. The only thing that I didn't like about the book was the profanity, but when overlooked, it is a great book.

This is yet another great Native novel by Cassis Edwards. She knows how to bring a story to life.

A Diamond in the Ruff

I just couldn't seem to put this book down. There were times when I was so involved, that I was screaming at the book. At times, I just wanted to jump into the pages and go Native American warrior on the characters! Not only that, but the story line was fantastic! I found the book in the corner of a used book store stuffed in under the seat of a couch! I'm truly glad that I found it!

Pleasant Read

Book is pleasant to read. A few points lacked realism (the instant sexaul tension, earth quakes in Wyoming that swallow houses whole), but once the reader puts that out of mind the story flows well. As predictable as most romance novels, but does have a couple of twists.

fine but umpteenth ?Savage? romance

Will love prove strong enough to overcome his tribe's single women all wanting to be his wife and her race distrusting these savages?Fans of Cassie Edwards will enjoy her umpteenth "Savage" novel starring two fine star-crossed lovers. The well written story line is typical Ms. Edwards (must have the copyright) as the lead couple fall in love at first sight though neither trusts the other and both know it is taboo in their respective societies more so in hers. Right out of her usual cast, Ms. Edwards' readers will enjoy her latest Indian romance.Harriet Klausner
