Sausage A SynopsisNow the point of a synopsis seems to be to lure the potential reader into purchasing the book in question. Now Little Kit is unusual in the respect that he is a cat and does not use money in any circumstances at all. In this respect, along with all others, he really does not mind if anyone does not buy or read his book at all.Then there is the matter of the content. A synopsis is supposed to provide some kind of idea about what the story of the book might be. However Little Kit thinks that would rather spoil the surprise, so he is not really keen to give out too much information on that front.A prospective reader might want to know, at the very least, what genre the book can be classified within. Yet again, Little Kit is a bit vague about this. This is partly because his books generally do not relate particularly easily to any of the main forms of specification that are mainly used today. If pushed to give a definitive response he would probably say it is "a bit of mishmash" and leave it at that.Now Little Kit does not claim to be the greatest writer the world has ever known. In fact he is pretty dismissive about his attempts. He always thinks that if a reader wants a jolly good story then they would be much better served by getting their hands on Jane Austen. That is always a pleasure.In his last book Kit very nearly had a plot. You know the sort of thing, a beginning and an end and some kind of pathway through the middle that rolls the events of the tale along. There is no such botheration in this, his fifth epic tale. It is back to the old format of disjointed progress. Kit is pretty sure that every single person on Earth would find this particular process to be quite annoying. This is just one of the reasons why he tends to discourage anyone from reading any of his books.Then there is the basis of the universe he places all his books in. Well it is the same universe that you share except it has been impacted by an organic medical brain disorder that complicates matters quite a lot. So what this means is that whatever it is he thinks that he is telling you about is not actually the thin he is telling you about at all. So how frustrating is that? At least with Jane Austen you know who is a good sort and who is best avoided.So Sausage Is very nearly a treasure hunt and a detective story without ever actually being either It has lots of famous people included in the tale and a few facts from science and other irrelevant schools of thought.So there you have it. Sausage is an odd and difficult sort of book that is almost certainly not worth reading. Kit hopes that you have found this synopsis helpful, because he has always tried to be a very polite sort of cat with a strong moral fabric.
