The McGreevy family is a little different. India McGreevy's make-believe world is more likely to involve a giant squid attack than some smarmy prince. Her parents, Fred and Elizabeth, have adult worries and comic book imaginations; their daydreams often involve worst-case scenarios, maniacal scientists and jet packs. Usually, things go swimmingly.But when their week starts off on the wrong foot and then hops on that foot until Saturday, no one in the family is at their best. Eventually things will probably goback to normal, but it'll take a week's worth of pouting, a mechanic with a prosthetic leg, a traveling circus and the world's largest crocodile to remember that most problems are like those cheap toy finger traps: Stupid, easy to get out of if you have someone's help, and disposable.
