Saturday Night Sinner, Sunday Morning Believer. This was me y'all. I lived wild and free from Sunday afternoon through Saturday night, then suffered from the guilt of all the wrong I had done as I prepared myself for my act on Sunday morning. Oh, I didn't think it was an act. I would genuinely repent late Saturday night as I prepared for Sunday morning. This would be followed by feeling good about my repentance and putting on my holy mask that allowed me to look and act holy. Then, when it was time to be anything but holy, I would take off my mask. This was my life, and it was hard if not impossible to stop living this dual lifestyle.

Like most believers that live this dual life, I really guarded the different masks of the Public believer because they were what others saw. Like you or someone you may know, it is the face we put on to show the world that we are born again, spirit filled Christians! With our mask on, we know all the right words to say, the right and holy facial expressions, we nod on cue, pray in the spirit, call heaven down and have everyone around us believing that we are just one step away from the pearly gates.

The Private life of the believer, in contradiction, is where we struggle with the flesh nature. A place where we may or may not necessarily be trying to cover up sins, but may find it hard to overcome the flesh. This is our comfort zone where we can unmask our real faces because we are alone, or with people we choose to hang around.
