An Absolute Must for all Teachers and Students!

I am an elementary gifted education teacher. Each year my colleague and I encourage our 5th grade students to enter the NASA Student Involvement Program as part of their space unit in our classes. In teams of four, our students choose current topics in space to research and then present their findings in print or as news videos. This book was an absolute find for us! It was interesting, informative, and extremely well written! Mr. Friedlander taught my students all about the history and development of satellites and their uses. With the help of Mr. Friedlander's book, one of our teams went on to win 2nd place in the Middle School division of this national competition. I would recommend this book to any teachers who want encourage their students to learn more about space science. I would also recommend this book to any parents who have a "junior astronaut" residing in their home. A+
