The monograph Sarajevo to Paris is a retrospective of the wonder years (1989-2019) in international fashion history that photographer Marleen Dani?els followed closely. Dani?els first became known for her photo reportage on child labour in India (1992-94) and the occupation of Sarajevo during the war in Bosnia. In parallel with this work, she photographed from behind the scenes the creative work of international and Belgian designers during the Paris, Milan and New York fashion weeks. She attended shows by Olivier Theyskens, Martin Margiela, Viktor & Rolf, Stella McCartney and Dries Van Noten and many others. Containing over 800 pages of photos and stories, the book Sarajevo to Paris is an extensive compilation of her fashion work.
