Sarah Waring, 32, naive and immature, raised within a strict fundamentalist religious cult, the Jerusalem Brethren, inwardly yearns for a less repressive lifestyle. Marriage to Martin, a fellow adherent, is about as far as she is able to go towards breaking away from the fanatical grip of her dominating mother.
