"Saori and Anan Two Unstoppable Friends Save the Planet" is the first published book by Antonella Victoria Pervil Caligari, an 8-year-old girl who loves creating and illustrating stories.
This book was awarded in 2024 by the International Latino Book Awards, receiving the award for "Best Use of Illustrations Inside the Book" and two honorable mentions: "The Mariposa Award" and "Inspirational Children's Picture Book in Spanish."
In this story, Antonella aims to raise awareness about the urgency of taking care of the planet we live on, the importance of friendship, and joining the fight to protect the Earth, no matter where we come from. We are all interconnected in one way or another since what happens on the other side of the planet ultimately affects us directly or indirectly.
In this story, you will also learn vocabulary from our Ta no indigenous culture, as well as from Japanese culture. Both cultures have always captured Antonella's attention and curiosity. You'll learn about real places in Puerto Rico and Japan, as well as some of Puerto Rico's flora and fauna. At the end, you can color some of the characters. Enjoy
Will these unstoppable friends manage to save the planet? Come and find out.
