Nick Kloss has been working in a local department store as Santa Claus for several days. One evening as he finishes his shift, he can't seem to find his car or even remember where he lives. The County Sheriff's is called in to help, but even with all their resources they can't seem to find out anymore about Nick than they already know. Because of his apparent memory loss they suspect Alzheimer's Disease and send Nick to the Alzheimer's Unit at Chuck Hutson's nursing home. While at the nursing home, Nick seems to be perfectly normal, something not uncommon for Alzheimer's patients, until he tells Nursing Home Administrator Chuck Hutson a fantastic story It seems he believes he is the REAL Santa Claus, in town to recruit his replacement before he loses his memory all together Sadly, he knows he IS suffering from Alzheimer's, and needs Chuck's assistance to convince the young man selected as the New Santa...that this is for real He believes that Chuck is the right man to help him Santa Claus with Alzheimer's? ? What will happen to Christmas? What will happen to the children if Santa doesn't make it? Nick says he desperately needs Chuck's help before Alzheimer's overtakes him. Chuck begins to think he's already lost it and it has nothing to do with Alzheimer's But as a Nursing Home Administrator, he knows his job is to help his residents through their distress...no matter what form it takes He makes his promise to help Nick, but when Nick disappears from the facility, it's Chuck's turn to be in distress. There isn't much that is more serious at a nursing home than a missing resident. Is the old man out there wandering, lost in the freezing weather...or is there something more to it? This one of a kind story follows Nick Kloss as he learns to deal with Alzheimer's Disease...and Chuck, as he tries to come to terms with the very Myth of Santa Claus
