Catalina Island, 26 miles from Los Angeles, is a tourist vacation and fishing destination that saw its first vacationers during the turn of the century. This booklet was part of Earle Reinhardt Pollock's personal effects (1872-1958). Pollok was City Manager for Avalon, Catalina Island during the Big Band Era. Original postcards printed by Detroit Photographic Company and colorized using the Photochrome Process: a hand coloring of images from photographic negatives via direct transfer of a negative onto a lithographic printing plate.
