A mother travels to an inhospitable mining town in search of her daughter, Angela Maria, who disappeared 16 years earlier. All she finds is her diary in which she wrote that she had become entangled in a human trafficking web. In the meantime, Interpol agent Thomas Connors receives a call informing him that his friend George has been kidnapped and is supposedly in Peru. For ransom, the kidnappers only ask that a woman named Dolores Menchero be handed to them. Thomas asks his friend Laura Terraux for help and they set off for South America. The two storylines intertwine as the plot unfolds. Will Thomas and Laura be able to save Angela Maria, Dolores, and George at the same time?
