SANDIA SISTERHOOD/TRAIL ENCHANTMENT is the 4th book of the THREE SISTERS children's book series prequel to the CALINE Y.A. novel series. It tells the story of how Caline's Dad, Brandon and mom, Rebecca met in college. Brandon was studying to become a ranger with the U.S. Forest Service keeping animals and people safe in the Sandia Mountains. Rebecca was studying to manage an animal clinic after finishing school becoming a veterinarian. The series shows how Caline inherits both her mom's and dad's love of animals.

Book four includes the story of Caline's adopted sisters Ginger, a cougar rescue her dad off a trail and Gray, an abandoned baby coyote pup brought into her mom's clinic. Caline loses her parents to a new pandemic called the big sickness. It concludes with driving Ginger and Gray to find escape, refuge, and comfort, on the trail where Caline's mom and dad had their first walk in the Sandia Mountains.

Caline's story is set in New Mexico's near future. A deadly new virus called the "big sickness" killed all the older male and most of the older women population. Increasing heat waves crashed the power grid and electricity.
