A Thriller

This book is a thriller. I was brought into a world of a new clincal psychologist John Sanders and the troubled life of Rebecca, one of his patients. Allred was masterful at interweaving the lives of the two main characters as the suspence builds. I was surprised to learn the author wasn't a practicing psychologist, the scenes in the mental hospital were so detailed and true to life. The book contained beautiful writing and keen insight into the life of the mentally ill, plus it's thriller. It was hard to put down.

I love this book! It is a page turner! I could not waite to see what would happen next. I also found it to be very enlightening personally. I think it brings to light the struggles that those who have mental illness face. It also brings to light the challenges of those working with the mentally ill. It is a beautiful story of the worth of a soul and doing what is right no matter what challenges may arise.

This plot has some nice similarities to John Grisham's "Rainmaker". It has an array of interesting twists which make it highly intriquing and interesting, while also being somewhat motivational and inspirational. Hope to see more of this author's work. It's a five star read!
