Book Overview

He was hired to kill her. Instead, he saved her life. Now she's been ordered to eliminate him.

Kyra Ray gave up a promising international modeling career at eighteen to join the military. Now a rookie operative in an elite counterterrorism unit, she's determined to prove herself in a world where one mistake can be deadly.

When her handler is killed during an investigation into an international weapons ring, Kyra finds herself thrust into a mission far beyond her experience. Armed with the identity of a key suspect, she follows a dangerous trail from the mountains of Afghanistan to the glittering world of international wealth and power.

But someone wants her dead.

Dalton LeClair is a highly paid assassin with a deadly reputation and a past he refuses to discuss. Hired to eliminate Kyra, he makes a decision that defies everything he knows about himself.

He lets her live.

When Kyra discovers that an inexplicable attraction has compromised Dalton's judgment, she recognizes an opportunity. Retrained as an assassin and ordered to eliminate him, she intends to turn his weakness into her greatest weapon.

But Dalton proves far more complicated than the cold-blooded killer she's been trained to hunt. As their paths collide across international borders, Kyra finds herself caught between a ruthless arms dealer, a dangerous assassin, and feelings she never anticipated.

In a deadly game where attraction is a weakness and betrayal could be fatal, Kyra must decide how far she's willing to go to fulfill her sanction to kill.
