All GOOD science should follow these guidelines

This book is a "must-read" for anyone studying the life-sciences (and perhaps for those in any scientific field). Roger H. Green outlines his Ten Principles of outstanding experimental design, that will SAVE time in research. He explains HOW to select your hypotheses so they can be proven or rejected based on data, WHEN you should apply statistics to the data to determine your results, and WHY you should report experiments in which a logical hypothesis has been rejected. This book is written plainly enough to interest beginning scientists, and it is detailed enough for even the most accomplished research technician. The tone of this text is convincing and persuasive, and will give you a new perspective when reviewing research reported in scientific journals. Not only will you apply the Ten Principles to your own experiments, but you will learn to accept or reject the information reported by others based on how soundly they have followed Green's concepts.
