Sammy Comes Home: A True Rescue Story, Told by Sammy Himself

By Marc Alfano

Sammy was the runt. The smallest of the whole litter, born in the woods of Washington, Pennsylvania, with no bed, no bowl, and no name. Nobody who loved him.

Then one day a big white van came rumbling down the road, and everything changed.

In this gentle, true-to-life picture book, Sammy tells his own story in his own funny, tender voice: the day he stopped being lost and finally came Home. It is a warm tale for children ages 3 to 7 about being small, being found, and being loved first, the very way God loves each of us.

The Adventures of Sammy begins here, with Volume One: Sammy Comes Home. Full of warm illustrations, a giggle-worthy narrator who says "and whatnot" a lot, and a quiet reminder that everyone is worth choosing.

Includes a read-aloud story, a talk-about page, a little prayer, and a peek at the real Sammy. Good dog, Sammy. Good, good dog.
