Poetry, in my opinion, has become a lost form of literary expression, but it is what has guided me through the years of my adolescence and has allowed me to truly capture my emotions, thoughts and everything in between in their raw state. "Salt." is a poetry collection that highlights my youth, and one that has no specific order nor set form of poem structure which was purposefully meant to replicate the randomness of emotions felt during this time and every time before or after. It's about love and heartbreak; deals with depression and sorrow; brings to light the dark corners of a mind and more. This is my first poetry collection, and it won't be my last, but what makes this a special book, aside from it being my debut literary publication, is the intentions I have set for it. Any amount that this book earns will go directly to Color of Change for a continued support for that cause.
