Renata was asked to join an old dancing friend for her family birthday ritual. It's a little unusual, but she's done a treasuring hunting birthday ritual with someone before, so she's game.

The object is to chase the birthday girl through a series of rooms, and whoever catches her at the end will be the guest of honor. The games start simple enough, but soon red starts to stain white clothing and the stakes seem so much higher than earning a special spot next to the birthday girl.
