In the shadow of the Roman Empire, a single thrust of a spear changes everything. Gaius Cassius Longinus, a battle-hardened centurion, pierces the side of Jesus Christ on the cross, unleashing a miracle that restores his failing sight and shatters his cynical heart. Haunted by guilt and pursued by Rome's wrath, Longinus flees Jerusalem, carrying the Spear of Destiny-a relic of divine power coveted by a dangerous cult. Guided by Livia, a Jewish follower of Jesus whose forbidden love becomes his salvation, Longinus journeys from Golgotha's blood-soaked hill to Cappadocia's austere monasteries. As his former prot g , Marcus, hunts him relentlessly, Longinus grapples with faith, forgiveness, and the violence of his past. His path to redemption demands a martyr's courage, transforming a soldier's sin into a saint's legacy. Nathaniel Haselton's debut novel blends gritty historical realism with profound spiritual depth, weaving a tale of love and sacrifice in the early Christian world. Perfect for fans of The Robe and Ben-Hur, Saint Longinus and the Spear of Destiny is a gripping journey of one man's quest for grace amidst an empire's brutality.

I was not impressed this is clearly done with AI repetition nothing new learned a lot of fluff and I'm very disappointed. While I appreciate the effort it is quite disappointing and I would not recommend this for anyone who wants a deep dive into St. Longinus. It is done slowly bad editing constant repetition. NOT Good sadly!
