AH the sea and it's sailing life

I love learning about the ships of old and what life was like as these brave me took on the adventures that come with the sea. You will too!

Set Sail For A Great Read

I bought this book for my mother for Mother's Day, and every time I visit feel the need to thumb through it. I borrowed it on several occasions till finally giving in and buying a copy for myself. It is a magnificent cook book for fans of "Country" food. The "Best brownies in Texas" have become a household staple that I am constantly making. Soups, salads, entrees, this book is just a great thing to have. Pick it up and you will soon be making delicious, simple to make meals.

A Visual History of New England Sailing Ships

This book is a collection of paintings/lithographs of various New England sailing vessels. Each image contains the ship's name, weight and when/where it was built. In many instances the ship's captain and/or owner is identified as well as the painter of the image. Historically significant voyages as well as the ultimate fate of certain ships are also provided. The book has sections on old nautical instruments, together with a brief overview of the New England sailing industry and descriptions of certain ship types. There is also a complete listing of the various artists whose work is contained in the book.
