In Stand Alone Chad knows that he cannot work for Rufus Nottingham any longer, so he buries his fist in Rufus stomach and leaves the R Bar, Then when Rufus is fired, he shoots at Chad and hits his girl friend. Now what? The final story in the books is The Livery Stable Kid which has the kid showing the tall stranger where the Gold Dust Saloon is and then following him there. He watches as the tall stranger humiliates the gambler, and wonders what is next? What's the answer?
