BEST STARGATE SG1 book yet!!!!

I highly recommend this book! Everyone is in character and it flows like an episode. I could not put it down! I want to read it again!!! Buy this book you will not be sorry.

well written easy to follow hard to put down

Good story line, flowed well with the characters and personalities of the TV series ( important to me) I was sad to see the TV series go and have found the SG-1 books I have read so far to be very good fill-ins. The first one I read was Roswell and was hooked on the books after that.

first team mission

This one was really good one, but I noticed that it took place from Jack's point of view and his feelings for his team were already starting to grow strong. All the issues were there including they were just getting used to working together and for Daniel he was just getting used to being back with his original team-mates and being on earth again, but at the same time dealing with the loss of his wife for a while. The story got off to a slow start, but by the middle of the book it was really interesting since it was more along the lines of going into the season 1 epsiode" The Broca Divide" since they were being infected with another piece of alien technology just before they had to deal with it. All in all it was a really good story and I recommend it to any who like the series.

Great book !!!!

Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of stargate and have read a lot of fanfiction. I was very undecided about purchasing this book because I was actually looking for something set further in the series. (This book is set after the show "emancipation") But out of sheer desperation to get my stargate fix, I decided to purchase this book. And WOW, it was great. The author got the characters just right. The story is wonderfull, full of action, adventure, suspense and the requisite evil goau'ld. I recomend this book highly

Outstanding book

Sacrifice Moon, by Julie Fortune, is, hands down, the best Stargate SG-1 book. But more than that, it is a very good book on its own merits -- well written; good characterization; a very nice "team" feel. It is set very early in the series so the characters are getting to know each other, and we find out more about them. There is exploration, and first contact with an alien culture, but the mission turns dark quickly and the adventures start coming fast and furious as the tension mounts. I strongly recommend this book. Enjoy!

Best of the Bunch!

Finally someone who knows the characters well enough so that you can see them as you read. The author took me on a journey without trying to using every Jack-ism ever utterd, or back flashing to a dozen past episodes every five minutes. Julie Fortune has hit it right on the Sg-1 head, just enough Daniel spout to move the story along. Smooth diolaog and a firm plot. There are acutely some tense moments that came out of her good story telling, not stilted peril. I hope to see her name on future SG-1 novels, heaven knows we need someone who can be true to the spirt of series.
