I am French, but I live now in the US. I really enjoyed this book because the author is so right on French people. There are lots of things one does not realize when he/she stays in his/her own country, but when one is elsewhere in the world it is not hard to see the good and the bad about a country. I look at France differently being here. I think it is a excellent view on France, it is very representative of France and its inhabitants.I recommend it to anyone, but then try to look at your country and think about what is good or bad. The plus in this book is that Ted Stanger has a very good sense of humor too. It is an easy book to read and once you start you won't put it down. And no, not everything about France is bad!!!! :-)
