A very highly recommended read for young science fiction fans

Dreaming is a waste of time, and in a hyper-efficient future, this is a horrible offense. "Saardu: The Adventure Begins" is the unique tale of Ruby, an imagination-driven child whose parents met there end for valuing such a thing. In a quest to save the last dragonfly, she will go across the universe to a unique world she never knew before. "Saardu" is a top pick and very highly recommended read for young science fiction fans.
Nicely done, Carma

I had the privilege of reading this bit of work in its earlier stages. And even then I was impressed by its charm and wit. Impossible not to fall in love with young Ruby. Impossible not to root for her, first page to last. And best of all, the images have stuck. Which seems to me the mark of fine writing, living characters revisiting us from time to time. Brava, dear lady, for so gently passionate a read, and for the magic carpet journey it lifts us to, young and old alike.
A Wonderful New Myth

The hallmark of a wonderful myth is that it has the power to transform. Carma Dillon's story of Saardu is accessible to both the imagination of children and adults. Children will identify with Ruby's quest to make sense of her world, and adults will be able to ponder interesting questions regarding the nature of a multi-dimensional reality. It will, indeed, transform the way all its readers see their world. The ability to make this sort of speculative story entertaining and enjoyable is a real tribute to Ms. Dillon's unique talent.
A must read

A beautifully written story that appeals to anyone with intelligence and imagination. Adults and children alike will relate to Ruby and her adventures will inspire the daydreamer in all of us. I have ordered copies for myself and my grandkids ages 6 - 12. My sympathies to anyone who is too stuck in mundane reality to enjoy this story.
A must for every child's holiday gift basket!

A truly futuristic sci-fi/fantasy tale, Saardu was written by an adult geek, for young geeks. This is not an intellectually easy read. Children will be exposed to advanced theories about space, time, and energy, blended with elements of magical fantasy. The unimaginative will not be able to grasp this work. It's for dreamers. Ruby is a little girl on an adventure that is both healing, challenging and inspirational. I'm not going to give it away, but I will say, to all of those who grew up with childrens' book series, like Narnia, or Nancy Drew, or Trixie Beldon, or the Three Investigators, or Harry Potter, this is another spell-binding journey in the making. This is book one. Kudos to the author, and may she bring many more tales in the saga of Ruby and Saadu into fruition!
