The widowed Ruxandra returns to her mother's house until her mother marries her off again to the Moldavian Prince Bogdan III, the One Eyed. For a time, Ruxandra is happy at the Moldavian court until Bogdan pressures her to fulfill all of her wifely duties and disappoints her in other ways. Bogdan also dies under mysterious circumstances. How did Ruxandra lose two husbands? What will happen to her next?
