Rusty: Second Act follows 17 year old Paige, dealing with the death of her father four years prior, still yearning to dance at her old studio. From the ages of 8-12, she was part of the main cast for Dance Mums Australia but had to quit.
4 years later, her best friend tells her that their old dance teacher is holding auditions for a new senior competition troupe, and she has to be on it.
Through miraculous intervention, Paige is able to join the team, met with a number of her former cast-mates and some new dancers, as well as a reality tv camera crew.
Drama will ensue.
