Running Late, Well Past Eight

Inspired by other rhyming children's books, I set out to make my own. Did you know that there are 83 words that rhyme with "eight"? I certainly didn't, but it made this 24-page book a fun challenge: use around a third of the words in a fun, simple story that actually makes sense, all using the same sound at the end.

I hope you enjoy reading this with your children (or they enjoy reading it themselves; I do include a quick dictionary at the end in case they want to know what each of the rhyming words mean).

For those who are curious, as someone who is NOT an artist myself, I did rely on AI-generated images for the art. That said, I went through thousands of variations to find ones that were good, and even then, I often had to do touch up work myself. Thus, while the art is not up to par with a professional artist, it is very good for a solo project from someone who does not even own Photoshop (or similar tools).
