The reason for this book is to produce an Information Security (IS) guide to organizations and their superiors. This will focus on the need for an Information security Management system (ISMS). I will conduct an investigation of what I believe could be a case of non-existent security policies that are a company found in organizational environments that are relaxed when it comes to information systems and their use. The best practices will be based on the existing state and federal laws when it comes to Information security and the choices organizations make. The guide will try and follow some common frameworks such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Information Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT), and International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
