So Smart! is a developmental program for children aged three to thirty-six months that seeks to nurture children through a series of books, award-winning videos, DVDs, and CD-ROMS. Using a unique building block? or image parade? technique, children learn important, age-appropriate concepts through an evolution of pictures, patterns, colors, and shapes! This board book is a perfect example of the So Smart! philosophy with shapes, pictures, and patterns cleverly evolving from one page to the next with the help of strategically placed die-cuts! Babies often learn through moderate change: for instance, how a part fits in a whole. In this book, babies can enjoy this early childhood puzzle of circles, squares, and triangles!
Fascinates My Toddlers - Again, and Again, and Again...

My 18-month-old boys ADORE this book. They beg me to read it over and over again. The bright colors, die-cuts, and simple text really engage them. As soon as we finish they start signing "more! more!" and we start right over, reading it again. I admit, as an older book-loving mom who long fantasized about reading to her kids, that reality has been a bit of a cruel shock. My kids have not been at all interested in books until quite recently, and they still have no interest in plot or rhyme (not unusual, I guess, but it was a surprise to me). They love this book, and they also like So Smart! Rainbow Ride, and they have a couple of other very simple books that they like. This isn't a book I would necessarily have picked up for them, or thought they'd like, but I highly recommend it - or, more accurately, Max and Theo highly recommend it!
