Run and Become: The road to ultra

You might be wondering at this point why you are reading another book written by me. Surely you completed your own trial-by-combat when you read the last book?! What more could I have to say? Well it turns out life wasn't quite as simple as I was expecting. I completed 'Emotions 101 - a primer course in understanding your emotions' and started on the path of 'Emotions 201 - how your new emotions play out in the real world'. I thought I kind of owed it to myself to not gloss over that - life is hard and I didn't just find an answer after walking up a mountain. Instead, I found a path.

I also decided to keep running. Not much of a spoiler I guess, but I still haven't won any races. I did however get involved in some pretty interesting challenges. I was inspired by Ultrarunners like David Clarke and Damian Hall and tried to challenge myself in a similar way. Many of these challenges were quite a bit different from what I'd been doing in the past.

As in the first book, I'm not sure if any of this is even remotely interesting to anyone other than me. If it is, then that's really amazing and I am very happy about that. I'll set you a challenge in that case - if you do find any of this interesting, you've got to come on a run with me sometime.

Cos that's when things get really interesting!
