A superb read concerning a major social issue of the eighties.

This is an excellent and eye-opening book about the homeless situation. There is also much to be learned about the disastrous de-institutionalization of the mentally ill. A much-needed antidote to the hyperbolic rhetoric of the eighties concerning the homeless.
