In the bowels of the KGB she learns that her father, whom she knows only from a photograph, and who is presumed dead, is still alive. He was one of the Polish officers arrested during the Soviet occupation of Poland and brought to the Katyn forest to be executed. How he survived is a mystery. Father and daughter are separated from each other by the Iron Curtain. Will Sofija manage to break through that wall and see her father?
