Cleverly illustrated by Cote, a nice spin on a warm Thanksgiving tradition of one person at a time giving thanks.

Family Fun

I stumbled onto this book well before November and read it with my children. They loved that it was a family's book of poems. They loved the descriptions of the different family members. They loved seeing me check it out from the library again this week (Thanksgiving Week). I like it well enough to share with my extended family, though my neices and nephews are mostly college-age and above. I am hoping that they will spend time reading it to my early elementary-aged kids and find themselves wondering what they would have written. I hope my mother reads it to my children and wonders the same. My mom traditionally asks all of us to take turns around the Thanksgiving table sharing news about the blessings of the past year. I am hoping this book will add to her enjoyment and the family fun.

I love thanksgiving too

I think that thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. This book is just like my family. We always have something to share about what we are grateful for and it is a good idea for families to remember to do on thanksgiving. This book is great for that.
