loved it

this narrator gets pulled deeper into a cult-like spa her mom was part of and begins to confront and see her past relationship with her mother clearer. it’s definitely a weird girl book where you either get it or you don’t (like bunny) so don’t have it be your first in the category. this was a fever dream and i loved it. it also deals with these obsessions and tendencies that are passed from mothers to daughters head on and i appreciated that a ton.

Eerie and Sharply Beautiful

This was my first Mona Awad and I adored it. It was eerie and sharply beautiful. I know it won’t be for everyone, but it was exactly what I wanted to read in this season of life. Loved it!
