Rorkh is a virtual world, safe by day and lethally dangerous at night. Only the boldest - and the most desperate - dare venture out into the darkness. The game's main catch lies in the fact that character deaths are permanent, and new characters are painfully expensive.

Having lost his character (or hunter, as they're known in the game), our hero rented one from someone else and used it to render a very important service to one of the game's most powerful player guilds. In the end, they offered him a place in their ranks, and even the opportunity to get a good deal on a new hunter.

As time goes by, however, our hero is finding himself more and more disappointed. He's starting to lose track of what he's fighting for. Rorkh is a harsh master, however, and that means our lonely hero is going to have to continue stubbornly on his way.

There will be no sympathy from anyone: the City has nothing but hollow, mocking laughter for the weak. The end of his story is in sight, but his wild ride isn't over just yet.
