Home. The meaning of this word is a complex construction like this collection of different places, people and things I love. The journey I take is a lifelong quest for places, people and things in which I feel at home. Coming closer to my roots can be a big step between my homeland, the place where I grew up and Scotland, the home I got much later.
It's a journey to local places far away. The little spots that bring you peace like woods, a lonely beach or my temple of mother goddesses in the Eifel (Germany). In some places I feel a strong, calming energy so when I leave them, my burdens feel lighter and my mind clearer.
Roots meets my wish to find out who I am. My DNA heritage and my family heritage. People who came across my way, friends, travels and the places where I have lived. Home is not only a permanent place, it's all that lives in our hearts.
