These poems gather the moments, places, and turning points that have shaped a life. What began as small pieces written for the Market Drayton Writers' Group slowly opened into something larger: one memory unlocking the next, long-buried experiences rising to the surface, and familiar stories revealing new edges with time.
As I grow older, I've felt the need to set these reflections down--plainly, honestly, and with a sense of gratitude. The poems revisit a childhood spent on the move, the day adulthood arrived too soon, the friendships found later in life, and the quiet relief of finally feeling rooted. Though they weren't written in sequence, they settled into a natural order of their own, each one leading gently to the next.
Together they form a portrait of a life lived through change, loss, resilience, and the steady work of carrying on. My hope is that in these pages, readers might recognise something of their own journey too.
